RULES
• USA Hockey and AHAI rules apply except in cases where Center
Ice has imposed a more strict interpretation.
• League rules are subject to modification based upon changes
in USA Hockey or AHAI rules.
• League administration shall act as the final arbitrator
in all disputes or protests involving the interpretation of the
league’s playing rules.
• Physical abuse of an official will result in permanent expulsion
from league play.
• Coach or team captain should, before leaving the ice, check
and sign the scoresheet at the conclusion of each game.
• Teams have a five minute warm-up plus an extra five minutes
to have five (5) skaters and a goalie. At the end of that time,
the game will be forfeited by the shorthanded team.
• Forfeits are recorded as a 1-0 loss to the offending team.
• All seeding round games and playoff games may end in a tie.
• Roster checks must be called before the conclusion of the
game.
PERIODS
• 1 hour 20 minute game slots
• Five minute warm-up
• 1st and 2nd periods are 15 minute stop time. Third period
is 15 minute stop time until time left in the game equals time left
in the game slot. The clock will then go to running time.
• A five minute sudden death overtime will be played in quarter/semi–
final consolation or championship games only. If still tied, a shoot-out
will be used.
PENALTIES
• 20 penalties on a team will result in stoppage of play with
the current score being recorded if the offending team is losing
or, as a ?? - 0 loss to the offending team if the offending teamis
winning or tied.

EQUIPMENT & JERSEYS
• All players are required to wear full hockey equipment.
• Players not wearing the required equipment will be assessed
a minor penalty and will not be allowed to play until the proper
equipment is in place.
• Teams must have numbered jerseys of the same color. Pull-overs,
if required, are the responsibility of the visiting team and will
be provided by C.I.D.
ROSTERS & PLAYER STATUS
• Teams must submit a complete roster of no more than twenty
(20) players before the start of their first game. This roster will
be “frozen” at the conclusion of the third game.
• In the event a rostered goalie is unable to play, any registered
un-rostered goalie may be used. C.I.D. must be notified of the un-rostered
goalie prior to the game.
• Teams playing a suspended player or a player not listed
on the team roster and/or scoresheet will forfeit said game and
the suspended player will be assessed an additional one (1) game
suspension.
PLAYOFFS
• Placement of teams for playoffs will be determined by most
points from the seeding round. (2 pts/win, 1 pt/tie.)
• Players must have played in four (4) league games with their
team to be eligible for playoffs with that team.
• Playoff games may end in a tie.

REGISTRATION
•
Leagues
run continuously on a seasonal basis.
•
No registrations
will be accepted without a full deposit.
•
All
players must show proof of individual registration with USA Hockey
for the current playing season prior to taking the ice at their
first game. Players may register with USA Hockey and pay the fee
at C.I.D. (Only cash or checks payable to Center Ice accepted).
C.I.D. does not include USA individual registration fees in the
league fee, as this is an individual annual charge and applies toward
all team you play with, regardless of facility.
FORMAT
•
Fifteen
(15) game guarantee consisting of fifteen (15) seeding round games
and three (3) play off games. Game guarantees are adjusted seasonally.
Championship games for every division.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Locker
rooms will be provided. Teams should inspect the locker rooms upon
entering and immediately report any damage. Teams are liable for
any damage they cause to any part of the facility.
•
No alcoholic
beverages are allowed on the premises.
•
League fees must be paid on time. Center Ice reserves the right
to drop a team from the league with no refund of previously paid
fees if payment is not received when due.
